 Duties
Under general supervision, performs radio and communications work in the County Emergency Operations Center.  Is responsible for receiving incoming and dispatching Sheriff's Office, Fire Departments, EMS Squads, Emergency Management personnel, Red Cross, Social Workers, Animal Control Officers, Highway Patrol, Forestry Service, and others as appropriate.  Work also includes operating a Computer Aided Dispatch system, a computer connected to the Division of Criminal Information and the National Crime Information Center, and provide information to the public as appropriate.

Duties

Duties

Performs highly responsible fiscal control work in directing the activities of the County Finance Department as well as the cash collections and billing of the Water Utility Department.  Responsible for planning and administration of the systems and processes for receiving, disbursing, and accounting of revenues and expenditures for the County.  Work involves supervision of purchasing, accounting, collections, billing, cash investments, payroll operations, and insurance programs.  Compiles daily and monthly reports to insure accurate reporting.  Manages the investment of County funds and is responsible for the preparation of the annual budget with the assistance of the County Manager.  Work is performed in accordance with established County finance procedures, local ordinances, and NC General Statutes governing the responsibilities of local government fiscal operations.   Reports to the County Manager.
